Tim Harrington, Partner and Creative Director
Tim Harrington’s move into the hospitality arena began in 2005 when he purchased and renovated The Cottages at Cabot Cove in Kennebunkport. A long-time summer resident of Maine, Tim created Atlantic Holdings, LLC, in 2001 as a continuation of his Massachusetts real estate development and investment interests. Following critical acclaim and national media attention for Cabot Cove, the idea of Hidden Pond was conceived and 60-acres of pristine beach forest acquired, with Marc Granetz as investor. It opened in the summer of 2008, and within a year, was lauded as of the world’s best new hotels and resorts. In 2009, Tim merged Atlantic Holdings with Debbie Lennon, owner of the Kennebunkport Inn. They subsequently formed KRC and proceeded to purchase, develop and renovate properties in coveted neighborhoods of Kennebunkport. As creative director of KRC, Tim leads and inspires a team of hand-picked designers to bring a casual elegance and refined “coastal chic” vibe to each KRC assignment.
Michael Shea, Partner
Michael Shea has been spending time in the Kennebunks since 1988. He along with his wife Robin and four children first visited the area for many years. They have called the Kennebunks their summer home for the last 11 years. Michael currently serves as President and CEO of Bolder Healthcare Solutions based in Louisville, KY. Previously, he founded MedAssist Incorporated in 1989 and was the driving force behind the vision, strategy and growth of the company, which employed more than 1,400 people across the United States. In 2007, he sold his company to Firstsource Solutions. Michael was asked to remain on as President and CEO of MedAssist and later took on the additional role of President of Global Healthcare Solutions and CEO of North America until he retired in 2010. Michael is the recipient of multiple professional honors, including the 2003 Ernst & Young Midwest Entrepreneur of the Year Award in healthcare. Michael brings his admiration, commitment to the Kennebunks and strategic business acumen as a partner of KRC.
Marc and Kris Granetz, Partners
Marc and Kris Granetz are summer residents of Kennebunkport. Marc first visited the Kennebunks in the late 1970s and later with his wife Kris, who, with their daughters spent more than a dozen summers vacationing at Parsons Beach. Marc and Kris met Tim in 2005, the year in which he built and sold them their current local residence. In 2007, they formed a partnership with Tim to develop Hidden Pond, and later The Tides Beach Club. They joined Tim and Deb as partners in the KRC in 2011. Marc, a lawyer and formerly head and later chairman of global investment banking at Credit Suisse, is currently a corporate executive at JP Morgan Chase in NYC. He is a member of the board of City Harvest and a trustee of the Gordon Rich Foundation. Kris was for many years the controller of both weekly and monthly magazines. She is a founder of The Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk, CT, and designed and developed some of the children’s programming offered at Hidden Pond.
Bill Bamford, COO and CFO
Bill joined the Kennebunkport Resort Collection in 2013 after 25 years in senior financial management roles in several industries. His experience has spanned both small and large (Fortune 500) business. He is responsible for the operation and financial management of the company. Bill has fully embraced the hospitality industry and looks forward each day to working with one of the top teams in the business to deliver amazing guest experiences. He currently lives in Scarborough with his wife Barbara.
